As of 8/30/2025, these are all the Notes Actions included in the iOS version of Apple’s Shortcuts.

I did my best to adjust descriptions for better uniformity, so most of these will read differently in Shortcuts itself.

Notes:

  • Add File: Adds an attachment to a note.
  • Append Checklist Item: Appends a checklist item to the specified note.
  • Append to Note: Appends the input text to the specified note.
  • Create Note: Creates a note using the input content.
  • Delete Notes: Delete input notes.
  • Find Notes
  • Open Note: Opens the specified note.
  • Pin Notes: Pins or unpins input notes.
  • Rename Folder: Renames the specified folder in Notes.
  • Scan Documents: Scan documents and insert the results into a note.
  • Show Notes Folder: Open the specified folder.
  • Show Quick Note: Opens the Quick Note editor view.
  • Accounts:
    • Open Account: Opens an existing account in Notes.
  • App:
    • Change Notes Setting: Set the specified setting in Notes.
    • Open Notes View: Opens the attachments browser or folder list in Notes.
  • Folders:
    • Create Folder: Creates a new folder.
    • Delete Folders: Deletes folders from Notes.
    • Move Notes to Folder: Move notes to the specified folder in Notes.
  • Tags:
    • Add Tags to Notes: Adds tags to notes.
    • Create Tag: Creates a tag that can be used in notes.
    • Delete Tags: Delete tags from Notes.
    • Open Tag: Opens a list of notes containing the specific tag.
    • Remove Tags from Notes: Removes tags from notes.

Conclusion

You can view all of this yourself directly in shortcuts, by tapping on the information icon on the right end of each action in the gallery, or by tapping the icon on the left end of each action, and selecting Show Info from the menu that pops up.
